Race Ready

It's my duty to provide a responsible explaination... if case anyone had any curiosities with regard to the acronym showcased on my Machine... here it is.

Honda CBR 1000 RR ** also known as ** Fireblade

CBR

It is actually for "City Bike" (Meaning non-off road) and "Racer"

Also, RR is for Race Ready or Race Replica

"Honda has used The CB designation for performance oriented units since 1962 with the introduction of the CB 72 and CB 77. These were the first tube frame Honda's. Prior to that the model designations were CA."

The CB designation started with the first of what were sport bikes. The CA designation was for the Dream units which were much more city units that the CB72 & 77 - Hawk and Super Hawk. The R may stand for race or replica or the RR could be replica racer or race ready. However the letter designation is for factory model designation as compared to marketing names that may vary with various national markets."
